Ha pasado un tiempo desde mi última publicación. Un tiempo de silencio necesario. Un tiempo que, para mí, ha sido de demolición y reconstrucción. Hoy, por fin, puedo compartir con vosotros el resultado de todo ese proceso: el nacimiento de Jafi X Marvel.
No quiero que esto se entienda como un simple rebranding. No es una decisión de marketing. El cambio de Jafi Marvel a Jafi X Marvel es el síntoma visible de una profunda transformación personal.
La "X": Un puente hacia la autenticidad
La vida te pone a prueba y, a veces, necesitas romper con lo que fuiste para descubrir quién eres realmente ahora. Tras atravesar cambios significativos en mi vida personal, me di cuenta de que la piel artística que llevaba ya no me quedaba bien. No me representaba.
Esa "X" es un símbolo. Funciona como un nexo de unión entre el Jafi que ya conocéis y este nuevo capítulo que empiezo a escribir. Representa una incógnita, la libertad de no encasillarme y el espacio para experimentar sin pedir permiso.
El idioma: Una cuestión de instinto
El cambio más evidente, y quizás el que más os sorprenda a algunos, es el lingüístico. Si antes mi obra se basaba casi exclusivamente en el español, ahora mi creatividad fluye, de forma natural e instintiva, en inglés.
No ha sido una decisión meditada para buscar nuevos mercados. Ha sido algo mucho más orgánico: las melodías y las letras nuevas simplemente aparecieron en mi cabeza en inglés. He aprendido a no forzar mi arte y a dejar que el instinto mande. Este nuevo idioma me ofrece una sonoridad distinta, una métrica diferente que se acopla a la perfección con la música que estoy creando ahora.
El sonido: La evolución natural
En cuanto a lo musical, mi ADN sigue intacto, pero ha evolucionado.
Siempre he sentido una conexión profunda con el Techno de los 80. Esas cajas de ritmos contundentes y los sintetizadores atmosféricos siguen siendo la columna vertebral de mi sonido. Pero si en mi discografía anterior (Jafi Marvel, Discordia, Inevitable) estos elementos eran los protagonistas absolutos, ahora la guitarra eléctrica —que siempre me ha acompañado, aunque a veces quedaba en segundo plano— reclama su lugar central.
La gran novedad es la influencia directa del Sonido Manchester. He estado absorbiendo esa atmósfera gris, bailable y melancólica, esa mezcla de bajos urgentes, baterías rítmicas y guitarras melódicas. Es un sonido que me hace sentir cómodo y que casa a la perfección con esta nueva etapa más introspectiva pero vibrante. Menos barreras, más honestidad y la misma energía eléctrica de siempre.
¿Qué viene ahora?
Este cambio no es el final de un camino, sino el principio de uno mucho más emocionante. Actualmente estoy trabajando en material nuevo, puliendo los detalles de los primeros singles de Jafi X Marvel.
Os prometo que la espera merecerá la pena. No os estoy ofreciendo un refrito de mis trabajos anteriores, sino algo crudo, fresco y genuino.

It’s been a while since my last release. A necessary time of silence. A time that, for me, has been about demolition and reconstruction. Today, finally, I can share with you the result of that entire process: the birth of Jafi X Marvel.
I don’t want this to be seen as a simple rebranding. It’s not a marketing decision. The shift from Jafi Marvel to Jafi X Marvel is the visible symptom of a profound personal transformation.
The "X": A Bridge to Authenticity
Life tests you, and sometimes you need to break away from who you were to discover who you truly are now. After going through significant changes in my personal life, I realized that the artistic skin I was wearing no longer fit. It didn’t represent me.
That "X" is a symbol. It acts as a link between the Jafi you already know and this new chapter I am beginning to write. It represents the unknown, the freedom to avoid being pigeonholed, and the space to experiment without asking for permission.
Language: A Matter of Instinct
The most obvious change—and perhaps the one that might surprise some of you most—is linguistic. While my work used to be based almost exclusively in Spanish, my creativity now flows, naturally and instinctively, in English.
This wasn't a calculated move to seek out new markets. It has been something far more organic: the new melodies and lyrics simply appeared in my head in English. I’ve learned not to force my art and to let instinct take the lead. This new language offers me a different sonority, a distinct meter that fits perfectly with the music I am creating now.
The Sound: Natural Evolution
Musically speaking, my DNA remains intact, but it has evolved. I have always felt a deep connection to 80s Techno. Those punchy drum machines and atmospheric synths remain the backbone of my sound. But if in my previous discography (Jafi Marvel, Discordia, Inevitable) these elements were the absolute protagonists, now the electric guitar—which has always accompanied me, though sometimes in the background—claims its central place.
The major novelty is the direct influence of the Manchester Sound. I’ve been absorbing that grey, danceable, and melancholic atmosphere—that blend of urgent basslines, rhythmic drums, and melodic guitars. It’s a sound where I feel at home, and it fits perfectly with this new stage: more introspective yet vibrant. Fewer barriers, more honesty, and the same electric energy as always.
What’s Next?
This change is not the end of a road, but the beginning of a much more exciting one. I am currently working on new material, polishing the details of the first Jafi X Marvel singles.
I promise you the wait will be worth it. I’m not offering a rehash of my previous work, but something raw, fresh, and genuine.
